Electrical Engineers Christchurch are deperately needed as a result of the city of Christchurch being devastated by a severe earthquake in February 2011. Over a hundred thousand homes were damaged and still in need of repair or to be torn down. The majority of buildings in the cities business district are scheduled to be demolished due to extensive damage. The rebuilding process is expected to take over a decade with the government spending over two billion New Zealand dollars. A problem that the region is experiencing with the rebuilding process is a lack of skilled workers. Electrical engineers are in high demand for the regions efforts to grant the entire region with much needed electricity.

Electrical engineers Christchurch are imperative to the rebuilding process for the entire region, rebuilding the vast number of buildings and repairing the infrastructure of the region. The cities roads, bridges, utilities, and public structures were largely damaged during the recent and recurring earthquakes. All of these public services are important to rebuilding the once beautiful city. Eleccom electrical engineers in Christchurch are dedicated to delivering new and innovative solutions to assist in the prompt and cost effective rebuild of Christchurch. It is very important that electrical engineers come to the region to help supply the rebuilding efforts with the necessary power. Without electrical engineers Christchurch it would be impossible for the city to rebuild the necessary infrastructure and businesses to supply people with the necessities and normal everyday items.

Rebuilding a city isn’t only about building structures. The people need normal lives. The people of the city need electricity to maintain a normal life. A sense of normal is essential for the rebuilding of the city’s residential areas. In the modern era, electricity is not only important for production of goods and the operation of business. People need entertainment and means of relaxing. Without these valuable social goods morale decreases significantly, which in turn will reduce productivity of the civilian work force as well as increasing crime in the city. Small community events have a huge effect on the morale of a city and cannot be over looked when looking at what is important to rebuilding a city.

Electrical engineers will be vital to rebuilding the structures and the communities of Christchurch. The lack of qualified people to fill these roles must be overcome. Electrical engineers from around the world must be enticed to take the abundant work available. The shortage of qualified engineers may offer any willing to move to New Zealand an opportunity to earn above average pay. These engineers will perform critical functions in returning this once beautiful city to its glory of recent past.

Eleccom Electrical Engineers in Christchurch represents a specialist firm that focuses on increasing the design aspects of business and urban areas. In determining how electrical engineers in Christchurch contribute to effective urban design it is necessary to explore both the role of electrical engineering and its necessity in urban planning. The role of the electrical engineer in the planning and construction of a city is necessary to ensure the safety of the inhabitants in addition to facilitating the optimal efficiency of those facets of urban environments that rely on energy, lighting and sound. As technology continues to mature urban planning becomes significantly more reliant on electrical design theory and implementation to create optimal living situations for its residents. This is the philosophy the Eleccom Electrical Engineers is built upon.

The safety of an urban population hinges upon many disparate aspects of the city’s design, one of which is the efficient design of electrical systems within the city. Without which, frequent brownouts and shortfalls can lead to numerous potentially lethal situations. Even if not lethal these electrical failures can destabilize an urban community to the point of halting all productive function. An illustration of this idea is the scenario wherein insufficient energy during a heat wave can lead to severe heat stroke and deaths in the elderly when air conditioning devices are inoperable. Brownouts can lead to traffic accidents which can in turn lead to severe congestion of roads and highways.

Effective electric engineering in urban planning can result in a significant improvement of the community. With energy correctly generated and distributed the possibility of public works becomes greatly improved. Public transit is only one of many possibilities when the energy needs of a city are met and exceeded. Trains, trolleys and public services rely on efficient electrical design to function during the daily grind of city life. And urban populations rely on those services to live comfortably and work safely. With a greater emphasis on public works cities can begin to cut down on harmful carbon emissions and improve residential growth. The utilization of those public works can also improve the local economy of the city thus resulting in greater citywide stability and improvement.

With even this small sample of data one can begin to understand how electrical engineers contribute to effective urban design. Looking forward, the full realization of the potential of electrical engineering is the gateway to cities with lower carbon footprints and safer communities. Efficient energy related planning and design can dictate a future wherein urban populations are both safer and more enriched by their environment. Effective urban planning requires competent electrical engineers to ensure truly optimal urban communities.

When you are after a team of professional electrical engineers in Christchurch, ensure that you get in contact with Eleccom today.

Governments are one of the largest owners and operators of buildings nationwide. Buildings account for 39% of all carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in the US, according to the United States green building Council (usgbC). CO2 emissions are projected to grow the fastest in the building sector over the next 25 years. Because power generation accounts for about one quarter of total emissions of CO2 per year, it is a significant factor in global warming.

Sustainable building design meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future. Building green and renovating with greener products increases energy efficiency and reduces associated greenhouse gas emissions.
Using efficient, effective lighting is one of the first steps toward reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gases. an estimated 30% of all US outdoor lighting is misdirected skyward which leads to $1.5 billion in wasted electricity.

Wasted light falls into two categories: light trespass and sky glow. Light trespass occurs when light spills onto neighboring property, which can be a major nuisance. Skyglow occurs when light is emitted into the sky, obscuring a view of the stars. Municipal legislation is now targeting both problems.

Taking a holistic, environmentally conscious approach to government spending produces true value on investment and continues giving back to the community. Reducing lighting pollution by replacing inefficient, ineffective luminaires reduces wasted light, energy and ultimately taxpayer money.

Why should we be concerned about sustainability?

Wasting electricity carries global and personal health consequences.
Burning fossil fuels, like coal, emit soot and other pollutants into our atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a greenhouse gas believed to be the primary reason for our global climate change, and is emitted by many methods of generating electricity.
An average of 1.34 pounds of CO2 is released into the atmosphere for every kilowatt hour (kwh) of electricity generated.
